On behalf of the Executive Council and Board of Trustees of the Building Blocks for Peace Foundation, we welcome you to the new year 2022. This year is very special for us for two reasons.
Firstly, our organisation will be marking her 5th year of consistently working for peace and commitment to building blocks for peace in Nigeria and beyond.
Secondly, we also expect that the preparation for Nigeria’s General elections scheduled for early 2023 would kick off heavily by all actors this year. Given previous experiences of elections management in Nigeria, advocacy and campaigns for free, fair, and peaceful elections must start in earnest.
For us at Building Blocks for Peace Foundation, we would leave no stone unturned in our quest to entrench the ideals of peace and continue mobilising young people for non-violent approaches, peacebuilding, and economic development in Nigeria.
We thank all our partners, collaborators, and volunteers who supported our work in the previous year. We look forward to your partnerships and collaborations towards our programs as we embark on this new episode.
May this year be your year of All-Round Peace and may it bring you good tidings.
Rafiu Adeniran Lawal,
Executive Director, Building Blocks for Peace Foundation
